Interesting point. When I was in Vancouver for the Olympics it bothered me when the locals basically tarred and feathered Brodeur after the loss to the Americans, as they called for Luongo to start. And while we won gold, I would have felt much safer with Brodeur in nets. In fact in the game versus Germany, it was Brodeur who identified that a puck went in and broke the netting of the goal – all from his perch on the bench. After that goal went in, the team went on to pound them in a very fun albeit lopsided game.

That’s the weird thing…it wasn’t painful. A good meeting, a great meal, a few hours to enjoy some California weather and decent in-flight entertainment made it surprisingly enjoyable.

you and i are cut from the same cloth. they weren’t “best of” lists but i made a super short song mix and a super long song mix, years ago. personally the bashiness of little room is exactly why i love it. wouldn’t have guessed song 2 was that short.

As a former drummer, I cannot get behind "Little Room" because it's just too...bash-y. I have a lot of forgiveness for Meg's drumming, but not on that one. "Let's Build A Home" is under 2:00 and it's a much better White Stripes song. I actually did a whole blog post about this five(!) years ago, listing my 25 favourite (at the time) songs under 2 minutes. And, just for some contrast, my ten favourite songs that clock in at 15+ minutes.
